Permission to use images and recordings and retain contact information

Photographs, video and/or audio recordings may be taken by the AWRI to document activities of this course/event. Your enrolment in this course/event is confirmation that you give permission for the AWRI to use photographs/video/audio to record your image/voice and to use such recordings and your name and/or company name to promote future courses/events and other ancillary AWRI activities in print and electronic media.

The AWRI is also seeking permission to include your contact details (including your name, organisation, email address and telephone number) on a database of event participants to enable the AWRI to contact you in the future to let you know about other AWRI courses, events, activities or information that may be of interest to you. The AWRI keeps such information confidential and will not give it to any third party unless required by law to do so or you consent to the provision. Your enrolment in this course/event is confirmation that you give permission for the AWRI to include your contact details on our contact database.


Indemnity, disclaimer and advice for courses including a wine evaluation component

During a wine tasting, even if wine is not swallowed, alcohol is still absorbed through the mouth during the tasting process. The rate of absorption, the effect on blood alcohol content, and the rate at which alcohol is then metabolised, can vary significantly from person to person. If you have consumed alcohol, your function may be impaired. You should avoid driving and undertaking other activities in which such impairment may pose a risk to yourself or others.

If you have any health issues or are taking medication that could be adversely affected and/or exacerbated by the consumption of alcohol, you should seek medical advice before enrolling in this course/event.

Your enrolment in this course/event is confirmation that you have considered the risks associated with consumption of alcohol during the course/event and are willing to accept them. In addition, you agree to indemnify the AWRI against any claims whatsoever that you may make or may be made against you arising out of your participation in this course.
